Privacy Policy & Terms of Use
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. About This Document
This page combines our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy into a single document, since Atelier is a small, volunteer-run, open-source project built by and for a Discord community. By using this website, you agree to what's described below.
2. Who Runs This Project
Atelier is a fan-made, non-commercial map editor for Brawl Stars, created and maintained by members of a Discord community called Brawl Craft.
This material is unofficial and is not endorsed by Supercell. Brawl Stars and all related assets belong to Supercell. For more information, see Supercell's Fan Content Policy: https://supercell.com/en/fan-content-policy/.
3. Data We Collect
- If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID, account name, and email address to manage your account and authentication. If you sign in with Discord, we store your Discord account ID and Discord username. These provider details are confidential, visible strictly to platform administrators for moderation and account identification, and are never shared publicly or with third parties.
- Your custom username chosen during account registration.
- The maps you create and save (name, tiles, game mode, environment, and privacy settings), whether stored locally in your browser or in our cloud database.
- Community interactions, such as map likes given and received.
- Technical and security data: Connection IP addresses and timestamps of your account creation, updates, and last sign-in, used strictly for platform security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
We do not collect payment information, and we do not sell your personal data.
4. How We Use Your Data & Map Privacy
We use your data only to provide and operate the service: authenticating your sessions, saving and loading your maps, powering public creator profiles, and calculating community likes.
Map Privacy: Cloud-saved maps are public by default and visible in the Discover section and on your creator profile. However, you can toggle any map to Private at any time. Private maps are hidden from public listings and other users. Only you and authorized platform administrators (strictly for safety, moderation, and compliance) can view private maps.
5. Cookies, Storage & Offline Features
- Essential Cookies: NextAuth uses session cookies to keep you signed in securely.
- Local Storage & Caching: We store editor preferences, temporary drafts, offline map data, and PWA assets directly on your device (localStorage, IndexedDB, and Service Worker cache).
- Advertising Partners: Third-party vendors, including Google (AdSense), may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits or general web activity.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google — used for optional OAuth authentication and Google AdSense ad services.
- Discord — used for optional OAuth authentication.
- Dedicated VPS Hosting — hosts our application backend and database.
Each of these third-party services operates under its own privacy policy.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your account and cloud maps for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time via Settings, which removes your profile, auth provider links, and all cloud maps from our database. Maps saved only in your browser are under your control and can be deleted locally at any time.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Request a copy of your data.
- Object to how your data is processed.
You can exercise any of these rights directly through account settings or by reaching out to us.
9. Acceptable Use & Content Moderation
Please do not use map names, usernames, or tile art to display illegal, offensive, hateful, or abusive content.
Content Moderation Rights: Platform administrators reserve the right to rename or permanently delete any map (public or private) that violates community standards or acceptable use rules, as well as restrict or terminate access for offending accounts.
10. Changes to This Document
We may update this document as new features are introduced. Continued use of Atelier following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
